Evaristo Macedo Filho was a Brazilian soccer player who played in Spain during the 50's and 60's. He was
born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on March 22nd, 1933.
He shined as a forward in the Brazilian selection and for the
two biggest clubs in the Spanish league, FC Barcelona, in which he played for five seasons between 1957 and 1962, and then
Real Madrid, in which he played for two seasons between 1962 and 1964. He is one of the few players who have been able to
twice win the Spanish League title with both clubs.
During his time with FC Barcelona, he played 219 games and scored
173 goals. A highly technically skilled forward, who could split the opposition defence.
